On September 13, 2022 the World Record Extreme Long Range Shot was made at 4.4 miles in Wyoming by Nomad Rifleman.

Rather than a "custom" moa mount of 350 you can make it easier by stacking 2 20 moa mounts/wedges/rails. When doing so you get 400 moa without the hassle of wasting time, but "custom" sounds like they did more work. All in all that's a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong shot with hit conformation!

Interesting that the only reference to the rifle's caliber is mentioning as an aside that the bullet was 422 grains. Looking at the mag it has to be 50BMG, but that's not mentioned anywhere in the video or story. Wouldn't that detail be the ONE thing most folks would want to know? Rifling twist rate, barrel length...all pertinent but omitted deets. Maybe it's all custom and proprietary...

Wow! To have to wait 24.5 seconds just to see where your bullet landed is crazy enough ... and they had to check for clear airspace above them as the arc of the bullet was over 2500 feet high.

Read about this yesterday and it happened in my neck of the woods. I took a training class with Shephard years ago, and have used Scott at S&S for various smithing needs over the years. They are very knowledgeable guys.
