While the people behind the firing line rarely get the spotlight, they’re the reason great matches feel effortless. In 2026, the NRA Competitive Shooting Division is making sure those leaders are better prepared than ever.
The 2026 NRA America’s Rifle Challenge (ARC) Match Director Summit debuts May 6-10 at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, bringing together a select group of club and range volunteers for an immersive professional development experience built specifically for current and aspiring ARC Match Directors and Range Officers.
The ARC Match Director Summit is a three-day program blending classroom instruction with live-fire range training, designed to mirror the pace and demands of actual ARC competitions. The curriculum zeroes in on the responsibilities that matter most—competitor safety, match administration, range operations and creative, challenging stage design—while reinforcing best practices for delivering a high-quality competitive experience from first shot to final score.
