many of you here at least on this message board website, have had been involved with this sport/hobby for decades.

i have not, i only been in it since January of 2020.

as such, all of you know full well the antics of Wayne and Co, better than i ever could be.

yes, there are many other Pro 2A organizations, and that's just it.......many more

we need all the help we can get from all of them.

all i can do on my end, is to watch and see if the NRA turns around, cleans up their mess, and gets back to the effort to fight for us.

as such, my eyes are clear(er) than some others, and looking for that ray of light for a brighter NRA future.

i cannot give up all hope for a terrific comeback, for an organization, with such a long storied history of defending our rights.
Kind of like the old ISO 9000 -- SAY what you are going to do, DO what you say you want to do, and PROVE what you say you were going to do.

In 2024, former Guns & Ammo Publisher Doug Hamlin took the reins as CEO and Executive Vice President of the NRA. He stepped into the unenviable position of cleaning up the waste left in the wake of Wayne LaPierre and his cronies. Doug Hamlin previously served as a U.S. Marine officer and is what the NRA needs right now. He is a humble businessman and not the type that likes to see his face on TV, but rather a leader who makes things happen when they are supposed to.

He has instituted widespread reforms inside the organization in what he is calling "NRA 2.0". During the last NRA Board election 20 of the 29 available seats were successfully filled with self described "reform" candidates.

Rebuilding the NRA has always been gun owners' best bet. With Doug Hamlin at the helm that process is underway. NRA 2.0 still has a tough road ahead but through actions taken so far they have won back my support.

Look, LaPierre is long gone. If you are still whining about what he did you are just whining.

La Pierre did not get off Scott free. On February 23, 2024 a civil trial concluded with the jury ordering LaPierre to repay the NRA $4,351,231 the jury found he had misspent, plus he paid back an additional million dollars before the trial.

I agree, the money is one thing, but his breach of trust will haunt him the rest of his days.
