Off to Chicago.

Area52, I've heard that the dead already vote in Chicago! Besides, the current admin will do whatever to appease the Russians and Chinese to keep that from happening. Think how many voters the Dems would lose should that happen to all the Blue, crime ridden cities from sea to shining sea! But that would be a steep price to pay and I doubt many of us would live long enough to see an "improvement".
It’s so bad here that I’d bet old man Daley (1955-1976) would win the ’23 mayoral if he chose to run postmortem.

Yes, the money that pours from the USA to China alone is enough to keep the peace. Saber rattling is sport.
Russia may likely eventually take over parts of Ukraine but not before cleaning out our reserves including strategic oil. We’re already sooooo in debt, expect another Reconciliation Spending Bill early next year further funding the Russia invasion tab (remember when it was called a minor incursion...$7 billion so far) and the all the weather related contraptions being sought from China.

When DJT called and asked Ukraine to investigate corruption, he was impeached.
When JRB had conditionally threatened to withhold $1 bil loan to Ukraine, he gives up sevenfold.

All the time you spend trying to get back what's been took from you, more is going out the back door.” -

Born, raised and currently still taxed in Chicago.

There‘s a long lost saying that “if they ever dropped the atom bomb (here), blowing up and obliterate an entire neighborhood back to the stone age, it would still be an improvement.”

Once bustling Magnificent Mile downtown may still be vacant, boarded up and scary to be in after sunset, but we’re getting a casino and a domed stadium for people with no money to gamble and no team yet willing to sign a lease.
Thanks beetlejuice, you’re one heck of a financial prophet.

Off is the Chicago prosperity lamp.
I worked construction on the casinos in Gary and they had to lower the employment standards because of the surrounding area employment pool.
I'm sure the Chicago pool is about the same as Gary's.
The security guards said make sure you valet park, because you will probably get robbed in the parking lot.

So it’s your position that you have to be doing something stupid to get shot by hood rats ? I can assure you that’ false.

NO was merely trying to point out if they had not been out at that time of night in the street chances are they would not have been hit by the car. Obvious too many people are shot due to no fault of their own but so many would still be alive if they had been home in bed at a decent hour.

Honestly I’ll just avoid Illinois.

I want to see the Grand Canyon and areas of Montana, also Mount Rushmore.

I always wanted to visit Oregon but the Woke Bull 💩 going on in that state has turned me off.

Also want to travel the west coast shoreline north to south before it slides into the pacific.
Made a trip to Yellowstone in 1987. Came in South gate stayed a couple days and left through the East gate. You will want to stop in Cody and see the Buffalo Bill Museum. https://centerofthewest.org/our-museums/buffalo-bill/

Mount Rushmore is a fantastic stop also.

By the way , Southern Illinois is nothing like Chicago. (y)

I owned a restaurant in Southern Illinois little over 45 years ago. Even then, it was 2 different worlds. Always loathed when I had to venture into Chicago for whatever reason.
