Officers Down in America

Kylo's last day before retirement was today. His formal retirement date was tomorrow. While on his last call to duty he was shot and killed. His last day of service was supposed to be today. He was killed on his last day of service before retirement. I'd rather his handler met that unfair fate. How shitty is that?! How did PPB send that K9 soldier, on the day before his retirement, into a dangerous situation? May the fleas of 900,000,050,070,000 trillion bazillion camels attack the pubic region of Kylo's handler and every PPB sworn and unsworn employee. May every single PPB employee enjoy the same last day of service.

I am saddened to report that Kentucky State Trooper Hayden Phillips was shot and killed this afternoon while patrolling on I-65 around mile 38 (just a few miles from my home). No details as yet. May the LEO’s quickly catch the animal responsible and put him down like the rabid dog he is.

Hi,

From my old stomping grounds...
------------------------
On behalf of Chief Blanco and the men and women of Upland PD, we send our thoughts and prayers to the Liles and California Highway Patrol family.

Repost from the California Highway Patrol:

“It is with profound sadness that the California Highway Patrol announces the line-of-duty death of Officer Brian Liles of the Visalia Area.

On September 28, 2026, at approximately 5:11 p.m., CHP Motorcycle Officer Liles was involved in an on-duty traffic crash on State Route 99, just north of State Route 190 in Tipton. He sustained critical injuries and, despite lifesaving efforts, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Officer Liles, 44, served the people of California for more than 16 years. After graduating from the CHP Academy in 2010, he was assigned to the San Jose Area and later served in the Hayward and Fresno Areas before transferring to the Visalia Area in 2019.

Officer Liles is survived by his wife, two children, his parents, and two sisters.
The CHP extends its deepest condolences to Officer Liles’ family, friends, loved ones, and all who served alongside him. His dedication to public service and commitment to protecting the people of California will not be forgotten.”
