Recently had my prodigy AOS A18B plate come loose during a 600 round range session and I contacted SA customer support to ask what their official recommended procedure for plate mounting was.
For reference I had been degreasing with isopropyl alcohol, applying Vibratite VC3 with proper cure time, and incrementally torquing the two screws to 25 inch pounds.
SA recommends degreasing screws and threaded surfaces, then using Loctite 7649 primer, followed by the use of Loctite blue 242 and then incremental torquing.
Hopefully this is useful info for anyone running into the same issue. I’m going to try it out, get my Acro p2 sighted back in, and then get a couple hundred rounds through her to see how she does
