A Georgia man that was shocked to find the amount of his final paycheck in the form of pennies dumped in his driveway last month is getting some help from coin-counting company Coinstar.

Great ending. Of course it's a bunch of free positive PR for Coinstar ( well, not free they did round his paycheck up and then send another $1000 to charity) but it's still nice to see a company step up and do that when they didn't need to.

Used to do that kind of “advertising” when I was running theaters. It was mostly bringing in kids that were wards of the state, cancer kids, families that lost their houses in fires, Sheriff’s movie night, that kinda stuff. We partnered with a local radio station and usually car dealerships to help with the cost and pulled charitable tax credits for most of the rest. Wasn’t my idea, I inherited it from the previous manager, but it always felt good to pull an event together and watch the kids relax for a little while.
