Master Class
Time warp here.

In grade school, we'd collect bottles for deposit cash. Peel off the Olympia beer label, and on the back there were black dots, up to 4 of them.

One dot...give it to a girl and she would...
Two dots, and she would...
Three dots, and she would...
Four dots, and well, you know.

10 year-old-boys have fantasies too, ya' know.

Well, in the Bad News Bears movie, Matheau drinks in the dugout and also picks up one of the kids while driving with no seatbelt and drinking a beer🤣🤣😝🤠🇺🇸🇺🇸. Sign of the times

I remember "Oly" from my days in Oregon.

That being said the first beer I ever hid from the folks when I was under-age was Molson's Golden Ale. I hid them in the barn between hay & straw bales which surprisingly kept the beer chilled. The folks though I was a good son for wanting to go out & clean the bar stalls without them asking. ;)

Hi,

Sure, I remember Olympia beer. In my younger days my little rock-n-roll band was playing at what was affectionately known as a beer bar. Respectable folk would call it a biker bar. I was underage but thought I'd try my luck at the bar anyway. It was the 70s. For some reason I ordered an Oly. The barkeep said, rather gruffly, "Nobody drinks Oly!" He turned around. I though I was done. Then he turned back with TWO bottles, opened them, gave me one, then clicked my bottle in a toast. I had made a friend.

I looked online for a copy but couldn't find one. In that bar was a poster for Olympia beer. It was a cartoonish representation of a pioneer type drinking an Oly while relieving himself in a mountain stream. The caption was, "It's the water, and a lot more." I thought it was pretty funny.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
