On March 27, 1894, Daniel Wesson received Patent 517152, the design for the "swing-out" style of cylinder seen in all modern S&W revolvers.
Pictured here is a .38 M&P Model of 1902, it is among the first model of revolvers to feature the swing-out style of cylinder. It is still in production today, commonly known as the Model 10.
