Ooops. Now I have the military surplus itch again.

After acquiring my Zastava M70 pistol, and the EG Makarov before that, I'm considering this Bulgarian Tokarev. Does anyone here know much about them? Are they well made and accurate? Pros and cons? Thanks!

Here's what one near to me costs. (At the Sportsman's Warehouse.) The best part of it is the pistol is NIB!

I have one, got it direct with my 03 license. This was two decades ago and $140.00 shipped sticks in my mind. It was new, unfired with two magazines also new. Either AIM or maybe Century. Im brought it along to my LEOSA qualification and when it was over. We took an out of date armored vest and shot it at 25 yards that 7.62 X 25 MM zipped through both front and back panels like they were cardboard. Accurate gun too.

Corrosive ammunition is no big deal if you clean the gun after use. I use old fashioned GI Bore cleaner (Down to my last can), but hot water and mild dish soap works too, just dry and lubricate after cleaning. I use it on my M-1 Garand and Yugoslavian M48 A 8MM of which I have thousands of rounds of corrosive ammunition. I think iIMG_0229.JPGt was 6 Cents a round in bandoliers.

That's what I hear. Wouldn't be an issue for me either. Ever since owning my first gun as a kid, I've been OCD about keeping them clean, and when with the Marines, you didn't dare give a dirty weapon to the armorer. I bought a 500-round mini-can of non-corrosive Serbian .32 ACP for my M70 for a reasonable price. They create a bit more soot than American stuff, but they run just fine.
