OSP slide on a older Mod.2

I've got a original Mod.2 in 9mm and would like to put new optics on it . I was just wondering if Springfield will be making a optics cut slide for the older guns? I see they came out with the OSP guns ,but I would like to convert mine.

I have seen the plate mounts that slide into your rear sight dovetail, but I am looking to keep my rear sights!

please let me know my options!

I can't really answer your question but the 9mm XDM Elite slide works perfectly on older XDMs. So maybe.

There is no info available on an osp slide for the XD line.
