Yes, Springfield site reports the pistol is rated safe for +p ammunition. Personally, I wouldn't let it become habit forming.

Black Bear arent that hard to kill but I know thats easy to say from the other side of a keyboard. I suspect a mag dump from regular 9mm would be fine but if you are really that concerned maybe consider another gun / larger cartridgeI have a black bear problem
I knew that; I didn't wish to rub-a-dub on a new member!Typo I meant XD

None needed. . .My apologies
Even I know the answer to this and I wouldn’t touch one with a barge pole. And yes, you can shoot +p. I would recommend 124gr NATO to break it in.My guess is yes; but how'bout if you tell us what is a HD MOD4?
Welcome to the forum from the mountains of West Virginia. IMHO, I wouldn't use it too often. It causes wear and tear in my experience with it. But, it was in a S&W 9mm....I recently bought an HD MOD4 in 9mm
Was wondering if I could shoot +p ammo out of it?
Get some hardcast from Buffalo Bore or extreme penetrators from Underwood.I’m not I have a black bear problem at my cabin in PA,when I am up there I would throw some of those rounds in the gun.
