Pandemic Prepping Lessons: What Did We Learn?

I was pretty well stocked up before covid so what it did for me was make me double down. What I had BP (before pandemic) I have double of now. Whatever I need I buy. My nosy neighbors wonder why I buy TP every week. Can never have enough of anything.

Yep about a year later I was picking up some meds, at the local pharmacy as I was told my annual flu shot was there and if I wanted it. My response was "I thought the Fauci Flu Shot cured that!" I couldn't see the facial expression due to the assistant still wearing the mask, but I could imagine. Just don't trust Pharma anymore. Injecting gene therapy and calling it a vaccine (they had to change the definition of) has placed a cloud over the medical profession that will take a long time to forget...
However, bless your daughter and her work in the ER. As I transported hundreds of injured and sick people there while working Med-Evac flights.
But the response from the Government was/is deceptive as a whole and the 3% that were suspicious became 40% as they even denied and ridiculed Noble Peace Prize drugs and Physicians. Calling it horse worm paste and censored quacks. Approving and arranging billions of doses of the drug for decades, till the manufacturer's patent ran out. The inventing Company was pushing a new 3k replacement that were worse than the disease. So getting way off the proper post, stock up on not only Beans and Bullets, functional Meds as well. You will be locked down if you fail to join the Cult of Compliance or refuse the mandated medication time...
The COVID vaccine was a miracle that saved millions of lives. Faucci is a f'n hero. Science is real. Faux News is not.

Methinks you’re a tad late, and Dr Fauci is anything BUT a “hero”. Let’s see, use OUR tax dollars to pay a nation that opposes us in every way to develop a biological agent that kills hundreds of thousands, then push a “vaccine” with unknown side effects and without evidence of it’s efficacy. Oh, and let’s not forget the side effects including major cardiac issues that countless folks have had following their “ vaccination”. Myself, my wife, and 5 friends (one of whom is a Cardiologist and another is an Electrophysiologist) none of whom have EVER had ANY cardiac problems ALL developed life threatening PVC’s within 2 years of “vaccination”. 😡Statistically the odds of that happening under normal conditions is slightly less your chances of walking to the moon. I personally think Fauci and his cronies should be tried for crimes against humanity. Shiba Out.

I learned that my wife and I could get along home together 24/7 for months on end. It was a good primer for full retirement, as we had generally worked our entire 40 plus year marriage on different shifts, me days her afternoons.

And my daughter finally learned why we always had a well stocked pantry. She always asked and I tried to explain but it was always a bit out of her complete understanding.

The medical industrial complex/media is still pushing the Covid shots (not a real vaccine), which also killed/screwed up folks.

The best prep one can do is to get the pneumonia vaccine. I had an early Pneumonia version prior to getting Covid Gen1 in early 2020 and it helped me beat it very fast. I was fine after until I got the Gen 1 Covid shots a year later, which caused me various problems that I've still been dealing with the last 4 yrs, but I'm getting that squared away on the now.

The latest Covid version is apparently a stomach ache & some throat issues vs. the earlier ones.

Much like Sld1959, we learned we were well suited for the retired life in terms of compatibility, and for what I'll call "prolonged exposure" to each other. We basically went about our daily routines without constantly pestering each other. Fortunately I've always been a "keep 3 extra on hand" kind of guy so we didn't suffer any shortages. The life lesson I learned is that having a woman that is an excellent cook, that started making 3 meals a day for me during the scandemic, needed to be better managed on my part in terms of exercise and intake control. I really loved waking up to the smell of sizzling bacon, having her walk into my office at lunch time and handing a plate to me with something hearty for lunch, or the huge, delicious dinners she'd start to prepare around 4:30 every single day. She made up for the extra caloric intake and the lack of outdoor activities by putting a thousand miles on her bicycle. We bought a trainer that has some pretty cool features and she rode her bike more than she ever did outside. She actually lost weight and looks better than ever whereas I literally put on 95 pounds. I've been able to drop 65 pounds of that weight. I still have a ways to go to. In my younger days it was easy to drop weight. In my mind, I shouldn't be having such a tough time losing this weight. I have finally accepted the fact that I am no longer a young man. That was a tough pill to swallow.
