Pathfinder II

UC_Guy 1971

Custom
I had a Charter Arms Pathfinder. This is a 6 shot DA/SA. 22LR revolver. It began to shoot like a shotgun. I got a hold of Charter Arms and ended up sending it to them.

The six week return window came and went so I reached out to them and was informed that it could not be repaired. They offered me either a Pathfinder II in .22LR or .22 Mag.

Well, it turns out that for the low low price of $150 I can have both. Similar to Heritage Arms or Taurus they can give you a cylinder for each caliber. This is the route I'm taking. The II models are 8-shot with 3.5" barrels. The perfect kit gun.

Brake check. New info..... my old six-shooter is now apparently fixable. This means my 3-4 week listed turn around has doubled and I still dont have it back. And no ETA when it should come back.

Still, they offered the combo service; giving (and by giving, I mean charging me) me a .22Mag cylinder to go with the .22LR cylinder it came with.

Wondering if they have an old .22 Mag 6-shot cylinder in their stock, since their new stuff is 8-shot? Did they have 6-shot .22 Mags?

This arrived at my house today. I'm not there but it is. I imagine that it is only a 6 shot. I feel kind of sad that it isn't an 8-shot. Oh, well. Life goes on. At least until I get to VA.

So the new cylinder is a 8 shot and the OG is six. I don't know how that works with revolver timing.

The new barrel is a different color and I now have a better, fiber-optic front sight.
