Lots is speculations and the article is pretty vague. Lots more questions l like did he have a shoulder holster on (that could have directed the theory it was an accidental discharge)

Sis he try to catch a loaded gun he was dropping and have a discharge????

Obviously the only thing we know know for sure is a bullet did it, the only witness is dead,

That said I have seen botched suicides and suicides attempts but nobody here will ever know.
