Pistol covered in “condensation”

What foam is best for guns?

The best foam for gun cases is polyethylene (abbreviated PE) because polyethylene is closed cell, which prevents moisture from absorbing into it. No matter how wet PE foam gets the liquid stays at the surface so it can be wiped clean.

Open cell polyurethane will absorb moisture, oils, & cleaning solvents causing it to break down much quicker than PE, and will get extremely gross over time.

Good info Talyn, thanks

Great test and info Scott, thanks for sharing, as I have a few of their cases.
Thanks. I guess I never thought about it before because the case is waterproof, and I never gave much thought about moisture affecting the inside of it before due to that, and my GoPro cams are always dry when I put them away.

Well, apparently it DOES on your wrist, from what you've written in other posts ✍🌧😖😫
