Im kind of new to this so please bare with me.. I purchased this gun a little over a year ago and to be honest im not really sure what I have… i search the serial number but I kind of get mixed reviews… the serial number underneath the gun in front of the trigger guard/ on the side of the slide reads as follows BF390459 … i believe what I have is the xdm elite subcompact 45 acp… the problem is I’ve never been able to locate a holster that says is fit for the particular firearm… can someone please tell me what other make and models I can search that will also be a perfect fit for my gun… thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum from the Wild Wild Upper Midwest. If you have a Springfield product, go to this link and type in your serial number...

You can find the model, downloadable owners manual, activate your warranty, etc, and other information. Holsters can be a real adventure. Start here for a general overview...

Decide the type of holster you want, concealed carry, open carry, duty carry, IWB, OWB, ankle, shoulder, kydex, leather, hybrid, etc. There are hundreds of holster makers and everyone has their favorite. If your first one doesn't work out, try another. My personal favorite for general use IWB and OWB is roundedgear.com.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

In some cases, specifically those based on the model 1911 Colt automatic (we just refer to them as "1911's") Things aren't sold for a specific model because most of the 1911 accessories will fit them all. For example I could probably purchase a holster for a Kimber 1911 and have it fit my Springfield 1911 perfectly.

Take a close-up photo of your gun and I suspect someone (or some-many!) around her can identify it for you.

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the world of shooting.

Welcome to the world of insanity! 😂 Woops, I meant firearms!!!😋 It won't take long to become a part of the miscreants around here, as this bunch of derelicts can total a bunch of years of experience and we enjoy helping others spend money! Cheers Amigo!
This is the absolute truth! I can spend your money a lot faster than I can spend mine 'cause I've already been through mine! :p

Welcome to the forum.

One little trick is not to put the serial number on a forum. Theres people out there that don’t respond and can do stupid retarded stuff.

If you have a picture of what you have will definitely help. (Pictures are worth a 1,000 words)

Otherwise don’t be afraid to ask. Someone will help out as some of us will joke with their answers.

Thanks for the response. From everyone, thank u all! I should have guessed maybe posting the serial number might not have been the best idea.. thanks also for letting me kno that! Here is a few pictures, I hope it’s enough detail to get a response with a more direct solution to my problem. Thanks in advance

I hope you don't mind. I punched in your serial number to the link I provided above. It returned an SKU and model number.

Are you still looking for a holster? What kind of holster? The XD-M and XD-M Elite (XDME) have the same outer dimensions and will fit the same holsters.

Thank you for your indulgence,

The only big difference is really is the optic cut (there are other differences but not many).

I can tell you’re new. When you look a gun it generally is printed (what it is) on the gun. As @BassCliff mentioned it’s a XDm Elite 3.8” which is a compact (usually the size of the gun). When you look for a holster that is what you use to make sure it fits.
