I dont know how many houses got tped when it was a kid but it was a lot. Those were people we didnt know or liked. People we didnt like got eggs. Kids are probably priced out of those now

Back when I was a youngster we tipped over outhouses on Halloween. Activity such as that on any other nights would get the bark knocked off you by your Dad. That was a day or two ago.

Kids probably snatched toilet paper that their parents squirreled away during Covid. I hope that these kids didn’t flush away their future and any record their crime spree while on a youthful roll can be wiped cleanly away.

There is a boundary between a prank and vandalism. Parents should be teaching this to their kids, and enforcing consequences when that line is crossed. Sure, I took part in a few pranks when I was a kid, but never caused any damage.

One of the most frequent complaints I got from citizens was the mess pranksters made. When we caught them we often just made them clean up their messes but some ofc
those"innocent" pranks caused real damage.

My issue with this operation is simple, I am not their parents! @BassCliff mentioned, PARENTS should be teaching the kids, before the school, the cops etc.

It used to send me into orbit when parents would tell the kids, if you aren't good, that man will come and take you away. I, nor anyone else is the parent but you! This kind of stuff is Halloween hijinks, nothing else...

Got damage, then call, they're going to send out a community service officer to take a report and maybe some photos, and tell you to call your insurance company.

BTW, here in Tucson, you won't have anyone sent out. We are that short staffed. You can file the report online and then call your agent...

That toilet paper is a pain in the *** before it even touches a butt.

When my son played football in high school, the cheerleaders went out to tee-pee all the player's houses and cars before their 'Big Game'. One year, they draped tons of TP all around the trees in the front. It was dripping fog that night. It was a mess.

Next year, my son's girlfriend was a cheerleader, and she tipped us off when the cheerleaders went out to trash the yards (good thing, his Nova had just been painted).

So he pulled the garden hose in through his bedroom window and waited with a few teammates.

The cheerleaders weren't dressed for cold water, and they got soaked. After that night, the guys called one of the cheerleaders "Nips" for the rest of the year.

I know three men that as kids was going around letting air out of people's tires. (no I wasn't one, if I had been I would be alive today). The LONG time county sheriff caught them, went and got his tire pump (like a hand bicycle pump, just bigger) and took them around to pump up all the tires again, then took them home to their dads. All three might be a little wild still for senior citizen's but "theys law abiden". Knowing everyone back then I'm betting they wished there were more tires to pump up instead of going home to face their fathers.
