Polish PM-63 RAK Compact Machine Pistol

I really enjoyed reading about the PM 63. I love cold war pieces. I just happen to have its cousin, a Polish P-64 also in 9x18 MAK made by Lucznic, Radom, Poland, 1968 stamped with an 11 in a circle. It's a snappy little shooter so I put some Talon Grip panels on it.

I bought two, sent them both back to AIM for a full refund way back in 2001. It was the "Golden Age of C&R" with the break up of the Soviet Union and the satellites selling Military guns for cheap. I jumped in with a C&R License and a credit card. UPS and Fed EX coming weekly. My LEO Partner and I were looking for small back up guns and after shooting the CZ 82's in 9X18 MM with great results I thought the smaller Polish P-64's would be just the thing. Both guns arrived NIB and looked great. Then we shot them. The DA trigger pull was awful, the SA was so light that both of us were doubling without meaning too. The recoil was sharp and very unpleasant. After a couple magazines we both decided on sticking with the CZ 82's and sending the P-64's back which AIM gave me a full refund on. Now I know people have played with the trigger on these and learned to handle the too light SA, but I didn't like the pistol at all. After the very good experience with the CZ 82, (I became a CZ addict because of them) I wanted no part of the P-64.

Nice collection bro. Agreed, the single action pull is a bear unless you get used to it, has some nasty recoil tho. Never had trouble with the SA though. I like it because it's slim, light, and is a good summer/lightweight clothing piece. I've since replaced it for EDC with a Hellcat Pro Comp w/rds.

Well they sure LOOK cool! I think the 9X18 MM is a bit hot for that size handgun.

I'm something of ma CZ fanatic, though I like many others, and it was the $180.00 CZ 82 that got me started. My latest carry guns are a 9 MM CZ Shadow 2 Carry and a CZ P-10 F in .45. I carried the CZ P-01 for 21 years.
