aslo, either there has been a change to my state's proposed upcoming vote to ban them, or the media (as usual) mis-reported, but apparently, if the ban passes here in RI, then the weapons must be surrendered, not registered as previously noted..
i'll keep an eye on that, to see where the misinformation came from

It isn’t really surprising that the unconstitutional legislation is being introduced and passed. From kindergarten through college, kids are not being taught about how and why the United States was founded. Parents, for the most part, are or have been okay with that as long as the kids leave them alone. On top of that, we have had HUGE volumes of immigrants coming to the U.S. who have little idea of what it takes to have a free country. Those immigrants tend to settle where there are other people from their countries, and soon have a significant voting block, which seems to lean towards socialism. While the Republican Party stands around wringing their hands and trying to do business as usual, Democrats have altered their message to be attacks on the stupidity and selfishness of “white suprematists” and how the white suprematists are “out to get” anybody who isn’t from Northern Europe ancestry. Of course, Republicans are white supremists.
