Well, my daughter (senior this year) has qualified for state as a soloist clarinet. This makes a 3-peat for her as she wasn't in band her freshman year. Last year her another woodwind got straight 1's as a duet. As a quartet they missed getting straight 1's by 1. Finals will be in May and most likely in round rock or Pflugerville.

Come to find out of the 8 that went to this competition she's the only 1 that's going to state. What was usually in May is now in February. Instead of round rock or Pflugerville, it's in San Antonio. Wow, they keep changing locations and time. She's bummed out about going alone. She's hopefully going to bring someone with her?
