I had the same thought yesterday, but it's still sad. A tragic life for a very talented individual.

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday, and the nurse, out of the blue, asked me if I was a Pogues fan, and if I'd heard about Shane. I said yeah, and we had a convo about it. Never imagined I'd end up in an examination room in rural Idaho with a fellow Pogues fan, but there you go - he touched a lot of people all over the world.
