Rolled Copper Alloy..... Yes, called Brass! I do believe.
But that military 454 Casull ammo I got by accident I think had
stainless steel primers as my pin barely scratched them.
Scrap yard pays same for spent primers as cases if they accept primers.

Hornady didn't allow me to be privy to that information. They replaced the ammo
and I had to send the bad back.
I think that the wrong primers got on the 454 line and that's what caused the issue.
No mil is using the 454 IMHO
