I am having a problem changing the backstrap on my XDm Elite 3.8. I removed the backstrap roll pin without a problem, but I am having a difficult time removing the magwell/backstrap assembly. The owners manual says to "gently wiggle magwell while pulling directly down from frame until magwell & backstrap release from frame."
I've tried all sorts of ways to do this, but so far it doesn't seem to want to come out. Is there a trick to removing the magwell & backstrap that I am missing? I really don't want to force it too much and risk damaging anything.
I appreciate any and all help/advice.
