Pushing the 4" SA35

When FN/Browning decided to chamber the existing Mk. II Hi-Power back in the 90's they found out that there were going to be issues.
The "forged-frames" quickly cracked and it had excess recoil due to the greater forces from the .40 S&W. So, they had to change to a cast frame and beefed up slide with stronger steel in order to make things work.
This resulted in the Mk. III model which was also chambered in 9mm, making the Mk. III 9mm the strongest Hi-Power and the only one suitable for +P loads.
Then they found out the .40 S&W BHP wasn't a commercial success.
So, I doubt SA, and the Turkish Company that makes the majority of the full & compact sized SA-35, will go for a .40 S&W.
.40 S&W BHP's show up on Gunbroker, but magazines are few and far between.
So, some may push for a .40 S&W SA-35 but as the cartoon shows...
