Question on Action

We had purchased an air purifier approximately 8-9 weeks ago. Shortly after the purchase we found something different and purchased as well. First item arrives and I start the return process and take to the store. Store says thanks then adds a label and puts in a pile. About a week later the item shows up again in my normal drop off area for this merchant. Now I go into a different return mode and get a shipping label (costs were covered) and ship back. Recently the item appeared at the front door. We have 3 choices
Keep it and use it (probably bad Karma)
Give it to an organization (Local) that helps respiratory patients (questionable Karma?)
Try and ship it back again at my cost (who knows)
What says the group as the compass moves

I certainly wouldn’t pay to ship it back since you’ve returned it twice and they sent it to you. You should not have to spend money out of your pocket for their error.

If you don’t feel comfortable donating it or using it, is there a customer service number you can call to “try” and clear things up? Or talk to someone at the store where you originally returned it? My biggest concern would be the original charge popping up on the card I ordered it on since they sent it again.

I’m pretty sure (I am NOT a lawyer, this is NOT legal advice) one does not have to pay for something that was sent to them without their ordering. But I’m kind of like you, I don’t like loose ends out there.

Also sounds like a store I don’t want to do business with!

The store is a massive National Retail Chain for home supplies. The first time and originally it came back was from the store it was purchased from and original return location.

FIRST=How many times were you charged? And....did you get a refund each time it arrived?

Hmmm? if youre feeling particularly nice. I think Id ask to actually speak to someone in charge. IF thats not possible because the "store" has made it impossible (on line no human); Id keep everyone they send you and give them for Christmas presents. If they have no human contact option, then thats the cost they pay

I was charged once and refunded. My initial return was to the original store return counter with their rep to scan my barcode. Then it reappeared in a normal drop location for the store. I contacted a customer agent and was sent a label for the shipping (no charge). Attached the label and dropped it off at UPS. After some time it appears again with more labels at the front door. No charge. We do find quality "Are you FN kidding me" humor in the return saga.
