Range day trail for the XDm

Well I have a keeper for the range and now have to get serious on competition. I could do better but I’m used to compact firearms.

Yes I like the XDm series (coming from someone that likes M&P)

Unless that's at 100 yards then yes you will have to do a lot better to win, but don't stress none about it. just have fun doing it. but for a bad guy that group would spell doom for him

Agreed. I’m wishing I got the XDm earlier.

Glad you like it, now FYI, the frame rails on the rear frame of the gun are polymer, nothing to be concerned about, some people go bonkers over this, mine/brother has over 5000 rounds and no wear on them, just a heads up, enjoy the pistol, they are great guns

It kinda reminds me of a mix of my CZ P10C with some 1911 feel. For the first time trying it out it’ll get better but at the same time now I have something to work on.

The XDm lineup is definitely making me a fanboy.

I honestly needed to adjust from the little arsenal I have. Personally the XDm has a natural feel to it like the CZ I have. It’s just getting my hands and mind to adjust.

It’ll take some practice. I think I got over one hump. Time to work through the ammo I don’t like.

It takes me a little time to acclimate to a new gun, and I’m sure that I’m not alone with that. Once you get the feel it’s all good.
It took me a few range visits with both of mine, but after that I never looked back. Speaking of which, mine could use a little exercise .

It definitely is a keeper. It might take me 1 or 2 more tries.

Have a few pretty nice pistols but I shoot two S&W M&P's with Apex triggers & Holosun EPS optics better, go figure.

Nice work for a first serious run with the XDm. The jump from compacts to a full size takes a little time, but the tighter grip and longer sight radius usually start paying off once you get a few more sessions in. Your grouping is already consistent, so dialing in trigger control and pacing should tighten it fast. Looks like a solid platform to build on for competition.

still getting the brain and hands right on the hellcat,

I have the Hellcat Pro. It’s just not wide enough for me. Yes I have big hands and it’s not enough gun for my hands
