Range Report: Four Filthy Pistols, One More Time. 8/27/26

Hi,

Nice shooting. I think you need to replace the 17L for a CZ and see how it helps you out.

Thanks. Ya know, I've got a birthday coming up and I've been saving my gig money. I'm still kicking around several possibilities for self-gifting. So many guns, so little time.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Oh I know how you feel. I been on a buying spree this year. I was going to get my last purchase in January. Now I have a new list.

so much for glock reliability.

I do have 1 Glock. That’s it.

I certainly don’t discount your lemon, but pretty sure you could find similar lemons across manufacturers. I had numerous Glocks, in most all calibers, during my striker phase. Never had a problem with any of them. Actually I found them quite boring. Hella accurate, pretty much indestructible, field strip/clean/reassemble in 5 minutes. They get the job done. If I decided to try strikers again, Glock would be on the short list.

Glock 32.4 - 25 May 23 - 24 Oct 24 - 515 rounds

Glock 43 ODG - 31 Aug 23 - 24 Oct 24 - 1030 rounds

Glock 23.5/.40 - 23 Feb 24 - 24 Oct 24 - 150 rounds

Glock 21.5 - 23 Feb 24 - 24 Oct 24 - 150 rounds

Glock 20.5 - 23 Feb 24 - 24 Oct 24 - 130 rounds

Glock G27.5/.357 Sig - 10 Aug 23 - 4 Sep 25 - 517 rounds

Glock 23.5/.357 Sig - 6 Dec 23 - 4 Sep 25 - 821 rounds

Glock 48 MOS - 23 Jun 23 - 20 Feb 24 - 930 rounds

They work. I do give them that much credit. I know my M&P in 10MM had issues for a while. The first nocturne I got had hiccups.

Honestly Glock is pretty much the same look over everything.

Personally I’m going over to hammer fired now. Something about it puts a smile on my face.

That’s what I did a couple years ago, though I’ve always had a DA/SA or SAO. Got rid of all strikers and converted to all hammer fired, mostly all metal, and haven’t looked back. Slowly moving back to 1911 too. Just seem to like the 1911 profile over the 2011 profile. Now if I could just get over my Springfield addiction and branch out (1911-wise). 😂

I seem to buy in spurts but I've slowed down recently. I think I've convinced myself that I need a 10mm, maybe two, a pistol and a PCC. Since visiting a friend I'm curious about a .308/7.62 NATO rifle. I also don't have a semi-auto 12ga. But I'm pretty sure that's the extent of my list. Currently. For a while, anyway. Maybe. :p

Thank you for your indulgence,

I have a 10MM (actually 4). I also have a .308. My list keeps growing and my wallet keeps laughing at me because I’m been an idiot.

I been looking at the SA hammer fired stuff too. Right now it’s CZ with SA right behind. The only striker fired guns I don’t want to let go of is the XDm’s.
