Range Report: Three 45s, 5/12/26

Hi,

Did you make it to the range? I'll look for your after action report. What sights did you put on your Mod.3?

When I haven't shot a gun for a while, I always start off really lousy until I remember how it shoots, sight picture, hold, trigger, etc. New sights is a another variable you'll need to practice with and get used to. Good luck!

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
Didn't make it today. Hopefully tomorrow. I went with Ameriglo CAP sights.

Hi,

Thanks! I'm doing some window shipping on the Powder River Precision website right now. Lots of cool stuff.

Do you used the "extreme" triggers? I don't need a 2.5lb trigger, but a crisp 3.5-4lb trigger would be nice.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
I have an extreme trigger in my 4.5 OSP. The rest are drop ins. The drop in with the lightest springs make for a crisp 3.5# trigger.

Well I finally made it to the range. I still shot embarrassingly bad but on the bright side, I'm consistent 🤣. It's like I've forgotten how to shoot. I'm pulling my shots left

1st shot was low in the 7 ring

I tried a mag full from a used Echelon 4.0C. It wasn't the miracle I was hoping for. I'm still tempted to buy it though 🤣

Going back, probably Monday, to work on getting better

Well, that's pretty OK. Sure, maybe not competition bullseye shooting yet, but definitely doing lots of damage in a self defense situation. It'll get better. I'm still working on my trigger press and grip so's that I don't pull the muzzle off target. I have my good days and bad, trying to get more consistent. Keep up the good work. :)

Thanks. It's been a long road back since my strokes in '24.

Good shooting Cliff. It's been a little over three months since my last range visit. The trigger finger surgery hasn't helped have padded shooting gloves that will help the still sensitive right hand. Waiting on my Sig P220 Legion 45acp SAO to come home from The Sig Armorer with 2.5lb trigger. All of my pistols either have self installed trigger kits or pistol smith's action work. Never have had any go bang that wasn't intended.

I hope and pray you heal up completely. I've decided that I will start with maybe two or three trigger kits, definitely for the XD45 and then whatever I decide to use for local competitions. Heal quickly!
