24/7/365.

Well it’s official again. I’m going to settle into the range I started going too. It’s open 24-7 to members and 350 a year. Every other range I went to was A-to far or B-the hours including both since I work 2 shift
my club is $250 per year.

the public range is $350

i suspect that price for the public range to go up at the end of 2026, and it is due for renewal this coming october.

whadda gonna do..??

many of us cannot afford a cattle ranch worth of land....

both place i go to, the yearly fee's or memberships, pay for themselves with xx number of visits, like about 14 to 16......

so, after say 16 weeks, damn, you got 36 weeks for "free"

I know the feeling

My range indoor is $108 month for access to shoot from holster draw, legal full auto’s, rapid fire and any drills within the bay/bench. Classes offered are anything you can think of and they will personalize.

Mines indoor and can rapid fire and a few other things. Only thing I don’t like around here is the class selection. I already got my CCL and basically that is the only thing offered

My range went bankrupt in december. Doors closed, chapter 7, full liquidation. Poor management. 😡
They were the only range within 30-35 miles. How they went belly up is mind boggling.
I am on a wait list for a club about 10 miles away but I doubt I’ll make the cut this year. $300 initiation fee then $250/yr after that.
I found a nice indoor place across the river in PA for $350/year. But it’s a 45 minute ride.

both places i go to, and even the free state range, is NO WAY Jose` to holster draw, rapid firing, full auto's, or food and beverages on the range.

nudity..optional.

how did they go bankrupt..??

greedy owners, maybe over paying the RSO's, not charging enough for classes, buying up too much ammo for resale, not charging enough for gun rentals, maybe discounting gun sales too much, and no Snickers bars in the vending machine...that alone would make me leave the clip joint...LIKE WTF is wrong with people...????

There were a lot of things. There were certainly not overpaying the RSOs 🤣. I was friends with most of them. But mostly just not good business people.

I think you are quite fortunate, being able to go 24/7 for most of the year. My ranges cut back their hours during the winter. My membership gives me the ability to shoot at either indoor range in their system but I think I pay just a little bit more in fees. I make sure I get my money's worth. We can draw, rapid fire, use FRTs, etc, after taking their cert classes. I have to make a special trip to a different range 45 minutes away to shoot outdoors, pay $25/day. I try to make it out about 6 times a year, during the warmer weather. ;)

Maybe you can take us on a tour sometime?

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I do about a 45 minute commute now but was worse for a little while. I was doing almost 2 hours (100 miles 1 way).

I definitely will. It’s not big or fancy but some where to go. I was going to put up a link but they even trimmed that down big time.

I just renewed my membership at my range for $235 for the year. Can't draw from holster, some ammo restrictions...but they have been adding quite a few courses on defensive shooting, etc. Last year they finished construction of a new indoor rifle range, and they expanded the building off the pistol range to accommodate several classrooms so I think there has been recognition of the need for growth there. It's still not top notch for sure, but it's a start.
