Rear sight alignment

Jsimon78

Custom
Well today was better than Tuesday. I started making quite a few adjustments to the rear sight on the XDm. Still have to do some more tweaking to do and not sure if I want to add a light yet.

Could be its just the way you're built. I don't know if its my hands, arms or whole body, but just about every gun I own has the sights adjusted slightly right. Its just the way my body works. I'm used to it and expect to make a slight site adjustment on every new gun I get.

What has me is the adjustable back sight. The thing was way off to start with. It’s getting better but now it’s getting into the groove.

While PBR may have a questionable reputation, it is entirely drinkable. I went through the craft-beer craze, started home-brewing....but as I get older, PBR is a regular for me. If you gotta add fruit to your beer, it sucks. It (PBR) just doesn't have that awful skunk of Corona, Heineken, Amstel or (fill in the blank).

Deepest apologies for intentionally steering off-topic.

It’s all ok. I kinda started this thread about rookie learning anyway. New gun, new sights, and just trying to get it figured out.

Agree with @HayesGreener, get an instructor to watch you shoot a typical range session, get his advise and work on suggested areas. Also suggest having pistol sighted in by a good smith if available. Best to learn to hit the target with a proper zero than to keep adjusting site to our bad habits in order to get hits on target. (We have all done it). After a while, have same instructor watch again. You will be surprised at your improvement. Best of luck friend.
