Red Dot Adapters

Has anyone used this product on their older pistols??
I have two MOD-2's and I would have to hate to trade for something new.

I haven’t used this particular brand but have used dovetail mount red dot plates. They’re not very elegant, but they get the job done. Beats buying a new gun.

There is something that beats buying a new gun err well buying 2 new guns
Back to the OP question,some dovetail mounts might not look the best but when it comes to needing your gun doesn't matter what it looks like as long as it gets the job done

Can you name a couple manufacturers of those RD mount plates. I must be behind the 8-ball since I've not seen one before this one ... but then I've not been really looking for them either. My EDC is a Hellcat equipped with a SMSc so I don't need one for that, but I do have several other hand guns I'd like to equip with the RDS if possible. Thanks!

I also haven't used that brand. I have 2, but required removing rear site. I believe 1 is strike Industries and the other is from springer precision. Neither have the rear site on the mount. I used springer as it catered to my xdm.

Not wanting to have a 1911 slide milled thought about trying a dovetail mount. Decided not to, the ones I've seen are ugly and set way too high.

I thought hard about getting a couple of these adapters but really do not like the way they look... so I decided I just needed to start buying a new optic ready model of everything! Good enough a reason as any I guess!
