Red Dot Drift?

I know you reported on it, but what’s up with the CC9.
Just cannot shoot this gun. This is a first for me. No matter what I do most of the time I don't even know where the round goes. Not comfortable in the hand for me. Even though I have hand surgery in shooting hand and i'm not as good as I used to be it's just ridiculous. I would never trust myself with this gun for CCW and that's saying a lot. I took my new Hellcat Pro Comp out this morning and there was no issue at all. Fired 200 rounds and gun worked perfectly no issues with me or gun. Just pissed because I wanted the CC9 since it first came out and had to purchase without even holding one online. Maybe if I held one I would have passed. Purchased Hellcat online and took a chance but it worked out. My FFL has the gun right now and he is trying to sell it for me and there is also a gun show in area next weekend and he says he should get it sold as he is going to be at that show. CC9 works great but not for my hands I guess.

Which part? Fire three shots. From the center of that group, turn the dials to move the dot to the point of aim based on the MOA per click and the distance. E.g. 10 feet, 1 MOA per click dot, 10 clicks per inch in the direction the POI should move.
I know how to sight one in but maybe I have a mental block when it comes to optics. Not really sold on them but wanted to come in to the new era of handguns. Like I said I will try on Mod 3 and I will keep purchasing firearms with the optic option but if I can't make it work with the Mod 3 it will just go in the drawer and I will move on. No sense to get aggravated over it.

I know you know how to shoot. Dissect this - what's it actually mean?

At 3/5/7 yards - close enough to point shoot - when you aim, squeeze the trigger and "call the shot," is it that it doesn't impact where you called it (where the sight was when the gun went bang, not when you started pulling the trigger) in a consistently different place, or that it's inconsistently not in the same place (big groups)?

Is that related to the sights themselves, or something different in the mechanic of the trigger pull that's changing POA at the last minute?

If it's the gun, there may very well be a problem the manufacturer should look at - bad lockup/unlocking, timing, etc. Also assuming you've well-lubricated all the friction points.

Reason why I am putting on Mod 3 is because it's not a carry gun. I would never put an optic on a carry gun---I don't trust them. The gun I put optic on was a Shield Plus that I have had for a while and there is no issue with gun and I just did not like optic on it because it is a carry gun. Maybe with a range gun I can take the time to play and learn with the stupid thing.

Makes sense.

Personally I got rid of that optic when I got it. I stayed with iron sights for my HCP. Personally the only things I wanted was the bag and the xtra magazines out of the deal.
