from many that use mrds optics on their pistols foregoing color choice what dot size and or of any use of circle dot or similar choices do you use or have used? i have 1 iirc i currently have that is multi reticle options as the rest are just a dot (not counting the chevron in amber/yellow) and awaiting on the primary arms vulcan circle dot.

been on a wait list, but found 1 at optics planet at a lower cost. not sure when it arrives?

i mainly use under 5moa's as it works fine for my current eyesight. i own many mrds optics ranging from $125-800 and no issues with any that have been on the lower cost range. i own many sig, trijicon and eotech (usually lower cost than the 1st 2) along with riton, crimson trace, jp, vortex and a few others i don't recall at this time. are there any reticles that you just hate or love over others you owned in the past or currently own?

Hi,

I don't have a lot of input for you but I can say this about the two different optics that I own. My aging eyes like the circle/dot (30 MOA/2 MOA) on the Holosun much better than the simple 3.5 MOA dot on the Hex Wasp.

In one of my classes we all tried each other's pistols, just to experience the differences. I found the larger dots, 6 MOA or so, did not help my average marksmanship. Smaller dots work better for me.

One day, when I'm well-practiced with my new optics, I may turn off the circle and use just the 2 MOA dot. Right now the circle helps me find the dot and aim quicker. I have not yet tried an enclosed optic. I'll have to read up on the advantages/features.

And thats my profound glimpse into the obvious for today. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I have 2MOA dots with 32 MOA circle. I am simple minded so I find the circle dot distracting thus I turned it off. I have red dots and green dots and am partial to green. I think it works especially well for me under low light conditions. The ACOG on my AR has a green chevron as well, it just seems to work best for me. Good luck on your search
