I have a few retention holsters I use for different activities like MTN biking & hiking.

Retention holsters without a significant amount of training can get you killed. I never open carry. I do carry OWB fairly often but it's still concealed. Also, armed or not, I don't let anyone I don't know and trust get within 5-10 feet from me. And when I have to I have my eyes on them the whole time.

I have one of these reflex holsters for a XD9 4". It does work, but the pistols rattles while its in the holster, and it's also quite bulky and sticks out quite a bit.
