Nice just me though I’d have to do away with the 1990’s era two piece full length guide rod.
Love my standard 2022 Operator have been eyeballing the TRP Classic Commander but not sure what that gives me iver a plain Jane Garrison 4 1/4” in 9mm. While front strap checkering is nice I do know how to close my hand to grip a gun LOL. Or add some skateboard tape! we’ll see!

I’d thought for sure I’d want a TRP once they went to an AOS option. Having just picked up an Emissary last fall, I don’t see the TRP happening.
All I really see is the TRP is about 14 oz lighter (but Emissary frame is stainless steel, so great for .45), plus I think the Emissary has a bit better sights because front is Luminescent and tritium. And I find it really entertaining that the Emissary is actually smaller!
Oh, and one less round for TRP.
Sure doesn’t seem like $600 in “upgrades”.

Not that I’m a fan of the TRP (there’s much better $2k 1911’s out there), but…there is a little more fitting with them than your Emissary; they’ll usually have a smoother action & trigger than a production line gun.
Also, that model shown of the TRP is bobtailed, which usually adds to the price. The one less round is due to the flush fitting magazine, instead of one with an extended follower; it keeps the lines cleaner for concealment (which is also the reason for the bobtail cut). You can still use the extended 8rd or even 10rd mags in it if you want.
The standard length railed dust cover will also open up more holster options than the full-length rail on the Emissary as well.
So, you ARE getting something for the money…but again, there’s bettter $2k options out there ($2k can get you into a used Wilson or Baer if you look).

I already have my Wilson EDCx9 (first edition) and Wilson Super Sentinel 
. I just always liked the history of Springfield’s TRP. If I didn’t already have the AOS Emissary, I’d grab one of the AOS TRP models as soon as I could (given a reasonable price).
Those upgrade items (if included) you mentioned don’t interest me - I’m not a trigger snob and my Emissary has been flawless, less fitting or not. My experience has been that less fitted guns are usually much less ammo sensitive and/or don’t require lots and lots of “break in” rounds. Outside of the bobtail and the dust cover, it’s odd they wouldn’t add the extra fitting and trigger job to the description for those that compare models before making purchase decisions.
About the only 1911 type gun I would even consider carrying for EDC these days is my Super Sentinel. But even then, I’d have to justify overlooking a lot of lighter and easier to carry guns, some with similar round count availability and some with much greater round count availability.
Who knows, maybe if I can find an AOS TRP deal down the road like I did with the Emissary (Emissary < $1200), I may consider one in the future.

Springfield doesn’t sell much gun parts, on the 1911 the slide would need some fitting, there not a direct replacement

Get your point, makes sense, but the Emissary also has a plastic trigger and weighs around 14 ounces more than the CC TRP. I have a AOS Operator 45acp w/Trijicon SRO that is very accurate and reliable & close to a grand less than the TRP. Still would like to have the TRP but not for 2 grand.

I purchased a DW Vigil commander length 45acp a little over a year ago. The Vigil is no longer available but it cost $1600.00 don't know if it's still in production. By todays standards it is a plain Jane model but shoots great has never malfunctioned.How did I forget DW. I want a Valor and a V-BobView attachment 80713
