Ronin 10mm ammo

Thanks, I picked it instead of a colt delta elite. The colt had a very heavy trigger pull maybe 8lbs. The ronin is around 3.5 and it just felt bettering my hand.

Hi,

Just picked up a new ronin 10mm and was wondering what ammo works best. I have other 10mm handguns and use magtech 180gr fmj for the range.. any info would be greatly appreciated..

I just wanted to welcome you to the forum from the frosty Wild Wild Upper Midwest. I have no 10mm products but I do have a Ronin in 9mm. I use a lot of Blazer Brass, PMC, S&B, PPU, and Remington for range fodder. You might have to try a few brands to make sure what works for you. Thanks for joining us.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Welcome to the forum from north central Illinois (about an hour east from the mothership).

I use freedom ammunition through my little 10mm collection. I have the XDm competition, M&P M2.0 Compact (4”), and RIA 1911A1. It’s cheap, accurate, made in the USA, and can order directly from them. It’s also cleaner than others that I have used too since I get different calibers too.

I've had the same pistol since its launch. expect 300-500 round break-in. Post break-in, mine eats any 10mm I've fed it. Magtech and S&B FMJ are regular range rounds for me since they are likely the cheapest you will find. Pro-tips: keep the rear sight set screw tight, and expect the front FO rod to break every couple-hundred rounds. After a couple of self-installs you will get better at melting in the new rods. SA will send you new ones no-charge if you call when it breaks.

Congrats on your new 10, powerman. I’m in the same boat with a new Ronin 10 enroute.

My other 10 eats about anything, so will be starting with the same stuff I already have. Blazer 180 FMJ for range use, and Underwood 200 hard cast or 155 extreme penetrator depending on how big the woods are. Will report back on results.

While I don’t have a 10mm 1911, but in my S&W 610 revolver I use S&B, but it’s very dirty ammo, enjoy the Ronin, good choice!

If you want loads that don't equate to what's best described as "10mm Special ", only three companies load it to its original Norma pressures, Sig, Underwood, and the last one escapes me at the moment......

And Buffalo Bore.......
