Ruger Mark III Competition Target: An Icon .22LR Pistol

Is it any different, overall, than the MK III 22/45? I recently acquired one of those. Top heavy, the blacked out sights are less than desired and, as par for the course, reassembly for cleaning makes putting a 3rd gen S&W back together from a pile parts feel easy.

That reminds me. Would anyone like to purchase a mint condition MK III 22/45?
 
Ehh the complex take down arrangement those pistols had are partially a myth.
I mean, I managed to figure it out all the way back when I was 12 years old.

On 2 separate occasions I was in gun stores and the gun owner had one of the sales people trying to wiggle a mk2 back together and I said hand that over.

That's why I sold mine- reassembly was a PITA.

You sir, have saved quite a bit of typing. I’m reminded of one of the 100 iconic Doc Holiday lines. “Should I hate it” paraphrased of course.

It’s a handsome pistol, and has fits and starts of running quite well. There is a MK4 for good reason.
