Ruger/Marlin 1895G

Do any of you have any time on the new Ruger Marlins, specifically the 45/70? How are they? Better than the remlins? On par with JMs?

My Son bought one and it’s a great rifle. My personal negative critique is the rear apatite Pepe sights way you make adjustment is wonky. I have a set of Xs peep on a Marlin JM 336 that is night and day easier to use

Ruger has done a great job resurrecting & upgrading the Marlin lever-line.

I only have three 1894's and all are great. My two Remlins (45/70 & 30-30) are also fine since I knew what to look for during the transition years.

Thats good to know. I had a JM but had to let it go. I love my Rugers more than any other manufacturer (198-8x on 600yd fclass with a 6.5 cm hawkeye amd better with a Ripper for way less expensive than anyine else, first rate revolvers across the board) so if they did marlin proud ill get another one.

The 2 remlin's i have never had any issues (both are 45-70). I wouldn't mind getting the r95 you got, but went with the chiappa wildlands takedown and yet to get able too take it down (apart).
