On a .22 no, now on my 629 .44 mag, sometimes it tried to engage itself, but on the .22, should be fine, no issue

I have never had an issue with it in several different pistols…even the .500 S&W.

However…in any pistol I’m going to carry/use for defense, it gets removed. Pretty simple job, just have the right tools (mainly: a screwdriver that won’t bugger the heads of the side plate screws).

And...that came out a bit more bluntly than I meant: no offense was intended.

You just hit on a pet peeve of mine...I'm just one of those folks that likes to see for themselves over someone else's experience.

A good example would be when I recently got the Turkish M4 clone; if I believed the online mavens, I wouldn't have considered it...but it seems they can run pretty good, at least in my N of 1 experience...

Most of the reviews of that shotgun that I have seen were pretty much inline with your experience. Though a great many of those people claim they have swapped some parts out with Benelli parts.
