SA-35 Tool Marks...??

Today I finally purchased my Springfield SA-35 Pistol that I have been wanting for a long time......the only problem is after coming home
and taking a real long look at it...noticed what appears to be Factory Tool Marks on right front side of lower slide...like it just wasn't buffed
out correctly...looks like the Quality Control didn't catch that....is this something that could be corrected.?...I just hate to pay over $700
and the Quality Control is off a bit due to the tool markings.........does Springfield even address this or am I just being too grumpy.?

Call their customer service line and tell them about it. In my experience their customer service is excellent.

Welcome to the forum

Thanks for. your quick reply....I just dont know if Im being too picky..but it is a bit disconcerting...crazy question...would you think the Gun Store just swap out the pistol for one with Good Finish.?...it hasn't been fired ..just taken out of the
cloth carrier.....Ah Jeez........
I never heard of any gun shop swapping out any guns, my shop have a sign stating all sales are final, and most companies don’t warranty for cosmetic issues, Need to see a pic and like it was said, call up there customer support, just don’t email them, calls are faster, my guess they will correct it if necessary

i was going to say the same thing, about "swapping out"...

"ALL SALES FINAL"

is posted at my large gun store, and i spend a lot of money there too.

its a warranty issue..if its an issue at all.

you just might be...too grumpy AND too picky

it is after all a factory assembly line gun, that sells for that price.

had you ordered a much higher dollar gun, at say $10,000 you better believe it'll be 10,000% perfecto.

post pics. let us be the judge.

also, you took a "real long look at it".......after you paid for it, and walked out.

how can the gun store be sure you didn't do it..???

While it’s cosmetic, it won’t hurt it’s functionality but I wouldn’t put up with it myself, call them up, you never know

By the way...Im Very Impressed with this Forum....Everyone is Courteous and Friendly....I had purchased a Glock Model 48 over 6 months ago...Great pistol..but ..no External Hammer nor Safety...a bit unnerving carrying a round in the chamber..and the only "Safety" was the Trigger....thats why the SA-35 is so Great...
@Hans Fischer welcome to the forum. Most here are courteous and friendly. Some aren’t… and they know who they are. 🤔
Just kidding. This is a good group. There are a lot of knowledgeable people and not just on SA stuff. Most of, if not all, your gun questions can be answered here.

Well...I guess the votes have been cast..and counted...... :). ..My youngest Son who is a Police Sgt....said.."keep it Dad...just gives it a Combat
look"....and my oldest Son..."you ought to see the scratches on my Carry Beretta"......So....guess thats it...but Thanks
for everyones opinion....As I said...this is a Great Forum....I look forward to reading/using it.....and ...I Love the SA-35.........especially the External Hammer and thumb Safety......I have an older model Browning Hi-power...Nickel plated...Gold B on the Grips....funny. thing it has a harder slide to rack...bigger springs I guess...but on the good side...I have 5 old Browning Magazines and have been told they fit the SA-35......now to start carrying it tomorrow.......Ive had a Carry Permit for over 40 years....and carry every day....over a year ago...guy tried to car-Jack me.....I had a Beretta .380...we had brief "discussion"....he left......///..Again .thanks Everyone......

Had i known it was gonna be carried i woulda said don’t worry about the scratches. 😂
Attemped car-jacking? Yikes! And this is why carry is a good idea. You were lucky to be carrying.
