SA 9mm operator Nighthawk mags won’t drop free

After last shot slide will lock open but Nighthawk mags won’t drop free. SA mags work fine. After pull NH Mag out and then re-insert it will drop, it seems to only happen when mag is inserted and slide locked to rear either by hand or last shot.

Try a few other brands then. 1911s can be picky about magazine brands.

Sometimes the “notch” cut out on the mag at the top is just a slight different in diameter from makers.
Enough to keep it from dropping

It should wear in with use. Nighthawk should make it right if it continues

Check the grips screws and bushings. Sometimes one can be just a hair too long and rub the mag a little.

I never have any problems with Wilson Combat mags.
