It'd be fun if we could use thermal optics to hunt in MN. I've always wanted to try grouse hunting with thermals, to see them in the brush. It's not sporting with birds, to be sure, but I'd like to see how well it works.

I dont have to reload between large groups of hogs on the run.
We can encounter hogs in 30+ groups and makes it handy to know you can go a long time without mags attached to your hip

Under 100lb sows are good eating with a slight gamy taste. We smoke the meat.
Above that weight gets nasty gamy taste.
Boars taste like crap regardless of weight in my opinion, and I wont process them.
