Saint Victor Iron Sight Adjustment

Tapster

Alpha
I need to adjust the elevation on my front sight. I've checked out a few videos and they recommend a tool that I don't have. I was told it was designed to use a 556 round for adjustment in the field. I've been tinkering with it but wanted to ask here if anyone has a procedure/recommendation before I go out to adjust it tomorrow.
Appreciate any insight.

Agree on the front sight tool. The whole adjusting your sight with a round thing is for the birds. I just got my first AR (A Saint) and it took me about 15 minutes of jacking around with a round to go out and buy a Real Avid Front Sight Tool at my LGS. $10.

Yes, just buy the tool.

I almost threw my Saint in the dumpster after spending DAYS and AMMO trying to get that damn front post to move.

Eventually I adjusted mine with a tiny flathead screwdriver. But it kicked my @ss.

Here's a great link on how to zero your sights the proper way and this also includes a shooting demonstration.

Paul Harrell is a wealth of knowledge for all things firearms and has a unique approach to ammo testing.
