If you haven't seen it, I recommend the movie, 6 Days with Mark Strong. It's about the siege and trying to negotiate a peaceful solution prior to the raid.

I am not sure if it was him or other team members, but I attended a presentation by some of those guys at a SWAT training conference. Those guys were rock stars in the SWAT community for a while.

I have an SAS crystal whiskey glass given to me by a friend that was in a SF ODA detachment and trained with the SAS.
He got it at their Officers Club in UK.
One of my prized glasses.
