Series 70 or Series 80 Ronin?

Hello All,

This is my first time to this forum.
I already carry the XD-s (45) on a daily basis but love my old Government model. My Colt is just too heavy and large for comfortable EDC. I know, I did it for some five years.
I am looking at the Ronin 4.25 with the aluminum frame for a EDC replacement for my XD-S.
I am curious to know if the Ronin is the Series 70 (without firing pin block) or the newer Series 80?
I want the Series 70.

All Springfield 1911’s are series 70, no firing pin block, they have a titanium firing pin so no block is needed. Welcome to the forum, ask any questions you need help with.

I suspected as much but was unable to find it on the website.
I saw many references to the "speed trigger" but there was no description for that feature either.
On my GM, I replaced the firing pin spring with a "high tension" one and added a Brownell's titanium firing pin some years back.
