It works great for what it is designed to do. Fast follow up shots on the next rounds, but the gas and concussion are a detriment to those around you.
Hunting solo, fire away.
In a group, be prepared for your fellow man to thump you to move away
i've shot next to them at the indoor range i go to. geez! the concussion is felt deep in my core.

Love the EoTech but the battery life sucks on them.

So you have to remember to turn it on at beginning of shift and turn off at end of shift, getting you around 100 days or 24 days if you leave it on all the time. With a “duty weapon” the same as my protection weapon I want my red dot to have a life in the 10’s of thousands of hrs. You turn it on and forget about it, then once a year you change it just to be safe.
Also I would say get the SBR 11.5 inch version, and suppress it, what are the chances you will have time to put on ear pro? At least the suppressor will lower the levels some.
