shipping charges across the board, going up

very interesting news item i just saw minutes ago.

the story was about the upcoming holiday season and online buying.

all shippers will jump up their prices, till about near the end of January.

i never gave that any thought in the past.

but for those of us that reload, buy gun, ammo online........

expect higher charges.

not only that

but delays, missing packages, or packages going around the world, then to your house.

and then...we ALL have A-Holes like this....to watch for....

more specifically, they will be upping those shipping charges due to the high(er) volumes of packages to be expected, garnering them higher profits, while they still suck at the actual service

Someone has to pay people to drive around with the gas prices. I might tell my boss that next time he gives me hell. I get paid to drive around so I’m doing my job correctly. 😆

Just what are you trying to say?
I guess fuel costs are to blame and Trump for them, correct?
They waste fuel unnecessarily. I can testify that ups waste around 1/4-1/3 of the fuel they use due to unnecessary routes the drivers are required to follow (not sure about FedEx). If they have a package to deliver next door across the street they'll have to drive 30-40 miles to another place and then to the other side of town then back to the house across the street or next door only to go back to town towards the depot.

I remember gas prices been 5 something a gallon back in 2012 or 2013 ish. It was stupidly high under Biden. I can’t remember the last time gas has been under 2 dollars a gallon. Yes I miss having a hybrid at the moment and had one because of what is going on right now

there IS SOME TRUTH to that statgement.

so many times, i have tracked my packages on UPS...

many times....

the driver was in my area, like maybe 20-30 blocks away

the next minute, he was clear across the city.....

like WTF, is that all about...????

come to MY house first since its just before you go clear across the city, THEN go clear across the city, AFTER YOU DELIVER....you dumb fooks.......

i should point out too, that many years ago, i worked for RPS...long bought out by FedEx, and was renamed FedEx Ground..

come the holidays AND ANY labor strikes from UPS or USPS, and FedEx put a halt onto "new customers" during those times, and that spike shipping charges incredibly high, for anyone wanting FEdEx shipping. regular "bulk customers", enjoyed the lower pricings.
