Note - Furthering the modularity of the Homesteader is its magazine well. The Homesteader has the capability to accept Henry’s proprietary magazines, Glock Magazines, Sig 320 magazines, and Smith And Wesson M&P magazines. The Magwell adapter for Sig and S&W is apparently one and the same. The Homesteader will ship as a Henry-magazine only model, a model with the Glock adapter, and a model with the Sig/S&W adapter.
Looking like a mini-BAR, the Henry homesteader is 100% ambidextrous, with the caveat that ejection will always be to the right hand side. There is a cut in the left hand side of the receiver to allow the operating handle to be moved from right to left. The Homesteader has a sliding, tang mounted safety, bolt hold open controls on both sides of the trigger guard, and a centrally mounted magazine release. Its barrel is also threaded for suppressed use.
