While I never bash people on their buying choices, I will continue to feel free to comment on companies and their practices. Especially the ones where I’ve purchased, owned, used, and dumped numerous of their product (at least 9) because of the way they treat customers and their continued refusals to accept responsibility for a flawed product. In other words, I had a dog in the fight to the tune of about $6k+.

And with no intention to rehash a never ending argument, no one ever stated that ALL p320s were the problem. Ones sitting in safes getting used once or twice every six months at the range will probably never have an issue…mine didn’t over thousands of rounds (though I never owned a base P320 - one Carry and two Compacts). The majority P320s that DID have a problem were those carried daily, subjected to bumps and nudges getting in and out of cars and myriad other things LEOs do daily, with some who take their service weapons home likely not resetting their striker at least daily. Then there’s the matter of subjecting a fully cocked striker, with no manual safety, to that environment. I wasn’t part of the process, but I’m willing to speculate that’s why the US Military demanded a manual safety on their P320s for the front line troops (because of the environments they would be subjected to).

By all means, enjoy your P320s and any other Sigs you own. I’ll take your other advice and buy/shoot/enjoy what I prefer.
 
I have 1 Sig, it's a P320 Compact that has an Apex flat trigger and reset bar along with an Agency full crowned barrel. It is accurate, The Missus can rack the slide and likes shooting it. My SIL wants it but I couldn't live with an accident happening if he owned it and he got it from me. So it sits unloaded in the safe. I had intended for it to be a carry pistol but then all the "accidents" started and whether or not it is legitimate I just don't trust it and don't feel right about sending it down the road and possibly someone else suffering misfortune. I'm probably wrong but the seed of doubt was planted and has taken root. For all the Sig owners that like them, isn't it great to have choices.

I felt the same way, so they went to LGS in trade, along with all other Sigs I owned. I hate having guns I don’t shoot. I did come out of it with a couple of new guns I wanted to try (and are long gone - it was April 2023) and some cash. Took a beating on the three P320 variants (his display case was full of them), but did okay on the rest. Most importantly, as far as I was concerned, they were moved to someone who knew exactly what they were dealing with.

yeah like i said, YOU never bashed anyone.....so i was certainly not accusing you of doing so, and at least you know that.

i too got rid of some guns that were (to me) a POS......(Hellcat, comes to mind), but not the S/A company itself, or the full product line by any means.

i cannot say i ever had a bad CS experience thus far with anyone or company..

unfortunately, as i may have mentioned in this thread, was that when i bought my Hellcat, it was during the scandemic, and no such P-365's could be had....

it seemed like, as i was standing in those block long lines to get into the LGS, that everyone was going in to buy one, or at the very least, put one on order...there were only such guns available during that time, which then gave me the idea to buy other types, such as the 1911's, or any other 45 caliber, and revolvers.

i was lucky that the 1911's were in huge quantities, as well as those revolvers.

easy-peasy, walk in, fill out the 4473, and wait my 10 days, or 30 days, after the governor signed an emergency
hold back" order, for the background checks..

the police chiefs said thier dept's, could not handle the HUGE demand for background checks in 8 days.......

another thing too..??

was that i recall buying my Hellcat, at the mom/pop fishing tackle- bait/gun shop, so they has NO LINES out the door, and down to the next city block...!!!!!!
